Well it was a long day for one of us today, and a relatively uneventful one for the other. Genny's day was so packed with PACE, class, and dissections that she didn't get to begin studying until after dinner. On the other hand, I had the time work-out and buy some more electricity (because the grocery store ran out last night). We had out first thunderstorms in a while and it was overcast all day long. This didn't bother me much because the weather this past Saturday was absolutely perfect, and I took full advantage of it....
The above picture was taken at the pool below Middleham Falls, the highest waterfall in Dominica. It took a 45 minute hike through the jungle to get there, but the path was well shaded and the trek was well worth it. The water was freezing, but once the body gets adapted to it, it is really refreshing. There were plenty of rocks to jump from, and our group made the most of them. After hiking back from the falls, we took the bus to Titou Gorge, which is a tunnel through giant rocks which one can swim through. It is also the background for this blog. Once again, the water was bone chilling, but it was a blast and I would gladly do it again. We finished the day by relaxing a Screw's Spa and ordering $510 worth of Pizza Hut, though I didn't order any, as Genny and I had dinner reservations at the Iguana Cafe. We forgot to bring a camera to dinner, but we will post pictures at a later point in time since we will definitely be going back. This was the best food that we have had at a Dominican restaurant so far. Each of us ordered a $12 plate of the freshest Tuna Carpaccio one could imagine.

Overall it was a great day and I know that there are many more like it to come before we leave
